UMCMA Positions on CTA

UMCMA takes the following positions in regard to Call to Action principals:

• We do not support the lifting up of local churches above any other part of the United Methodist Connection. We oppose any move toward congregationalism as only defined by a local church, rather we affirm the connectional system which sees all aspects of the church working toward making disciples of Jesus Christ to transform the world.
• We support the moves toward leadership development and concentration on young adults. We see campus ministry as being an important part of these priorities.
• We will oppose any legislation that denigrates campus ministry or hinders reaching out to young adults.
